Newsletter July 2014 Jaco Roux's new work Sashe-Limpopo Confluence, Oil on canvas, 130 x 170cm " At Mapungubwe there is a  rock formation which forms a lookout point from where you can see the confluence  of the Sashe and Limpopo Rivers. This is where the borders of Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa meet. A  deeply impressive scene lies before one and the lack of mankind's footprint is clear. My work  highlights this aspect. However the landscape is full of rich visuals and rich history that imprints in me a deep respect for it. Mapungubwe is a holy land which lies very close to my heart." Jaco Roux (2014).
